Ice Skating, finals week, and more.

I don’t even know where to begin with this blog post. I feel like that happens a lot and then I just start typing and I end up with a post about whatever I’m thinking about. So, here it goes.

This week was the last week of classes for my first semester of college!!! -does happy dance-
I’ve been ready for the semester to be over for a while now. I really hate my history class and my math class constantly has me down on myself. Even though I do well on all the homework assignments and understand the more difficult problems, I struggle with the easy ones because I tend to over think them. I did horrible on my last test so I’m kinda stressed out about that final.

There’s been a lot going on this week for everyone really.  There’s just been a lot going on and I think everyone really needs a break. Now that finals are coming up everyone is a little more tense and the little things bother people more then they usually do. When I’m in my room I tend to be more stressed about studying and more stressed about little things that I probably really don’t need to be stressed out about.

So I’ve spent more time upstairs this week then usual. Which is a problem in some ways, but it does make things easier for me personally. I’ve spent lots of time in Lori’s room, studying and laughing. It’s so nice to have a place I can go where I can just relax and get things done and just feel totally like me. I don’t know what I would have done with Lori this week. She welcomed me into her room whenever I needed it and let me vent and made me laugh kind of a lot. It’s hard to describe how much it means to me that she welcomes me with a smile whenever I walk into her room. I love that girl.

Kaity’s also been a big help this week. Sometimes without even knowing it. It’s so easy to get stressed about finals and then walk up there and within seconds she says something that makes me laugh so hard I cry. For example, while I’m writing this blog post she’s talking about how much she loves breathing. She makes life crazy and I love it.

I also love how the girls on Stark floor have completely accepted me as one of them. One of the girls, Sarah, has said multiple times this week how I am one of them and how I belong with them and things like that. Every time it makes me smile and makes me feel so loved and special. All the other girls are the same, especially Lori, Kaity, Cassandra, Shma, Brittany, Rachel, Ranesha, Abby, Rachel, Sarah, and Brittany. Sometimes when I hang out with them I forget I’m not actually a Stark because they just treat me as one of them! I think they even forget sometimes I’m not on their floor, and I know for a fact Lori forgets because she’s told me multiple times. I feel so loved by all of them and it’s hard to describe how amazing that feels. I went ice skating with them today and I really did forget for the most part that I wasn’t really one of them. But you know what, I kind of have started considering myself a mini stark this week. And I like it.

I think that Trinity is the perfect place for me. Even though there were times this week I questioned if I belonged here God always brought something along to show me, “Yes you do.” When I struggled with feeling like me He brought me to friends who I feel completely comfortable with. It’s amazing to me how much God has blessed me with since I’ve been here. He’s blessed me with amazing friends, and a place where I can grow and become the person He wants me to be.

Quick note

Something I'm looking forward to about Christmas? spending lots and lots of time cuddling with my puppy.
Something that made me laugh today: ill update this once the day is further along.
Something that made me smile: my new boots :)

Deck the Halls, first final.

It’s been a couple days since I posted anything- so here goes.

My life have been consumed with decorating the hall for South halls competition “Deck the Halls.” We put countless hours into making our hall a lifelike candyland board.

Let me just say we did a pretty freaking incredible job.

There was probably at least 10 hours put in on the hall if not more. We worked our butts off well into the night…

The whole hall got involved which was super cool

And boy were we excited. We all wanted to win so badly.

Turns out after all of our hard work we didn’t even place.

Stark floor won, and since that’s my second floor that I'm an honorary member of, I’m so excited for them. I even helped them and donated lights and other props. I’m still disappointed we didn’t win, but I am glad the prize went to Stark floor instead of any of the other floors it could have gone too. Losing to them is much more tolerable, I think.

After Deck the Halls my life was taken over by studying for a PE final I hadn’t prepared for once. The thing about PE is it is a super easy class and the test was going to be easy, I knew that in my head, but there are a lot of little things you have to know. And it’s a good thing I spent a good two hours last night studying or else I wouldn’t have done the best because the test was all of the little details. And I’m super thankful that Caroline allowed me to shut myself in her room while she was gone so I could actually get some studying done.

Today’s to do list? Go to Math, lunch, clean, call Kieffer, go shopping/get starbucks with Caroline, go to Carp floor party, homework, sign club concert, homework, sleep. But hey, I like being busy.

:)

I feel like i have so much to say and not enough time to say it! So much going on! I promise a long post soon- in a nutshell the past 2 days have been pretty much amazing. :)

But something that made me laugh:

I was doing my math homework in Kaity's room and we were trying to figure out this seemingly impossible math problem. Finally Kaity thought she got the answer and went "I'm getting it I'm getting it." Punching the numbers on the calculator her eyes got wide as she looked at me with a half smile and showed me the number. It was significantly smaller then we thought we needed. "Oh boy..." She said in her hilarious little voice. She put her hand on my shoulder and went, "It's going to be a long night." It was hilarious and for those of you who know Kaity you can probably picture her saying this in your head.

Something I'm looking forward to about Christmas break... I'm looking forward to seeing Annie, Nikki, Rachel, Em K and Lauren. I miss those girls so much, and even more so now that Thanksgiving has come and gone. Seeing them really made me realize how much I miss them.

Happy day :)

Life is good.

The beginning of this week was exhausting. Mentally, physically, and emotionally. Mainly because I had lots of homework, papers, and a huge presentation due today that was consuming most of my time. This said presentation was also my final for this class, so it was kind of a big deal. I stressed out about it, and kept changing it and kept rewriting parts of the 10 page paper that went along with it over and over again. It stressed me out more then it should have.

Then today I got it over with. I presented and I think it went well. I’m not so sure about the paper, but whatever. I felt completely and totally overjoyed when the whole thing was over with. I got super slap happy and felt so relieved. It made the whole day amazing. It was a day full of laughter and fun and cleaning(which believe it or not is fun when you listen to disney music the entire time)

So yeah. There’s some insight into my day or week.

Did I mention I got my hair cut? It’s not super noticeable unless you know me really well. But I can definitely tell a difference and I kinda sorta like it a lot.

Oh yeah. For the month of December every day I’m going to try and post two things:
1) Something I am looking forward to that has something to do with Christmas
2) Something that made me laugh

So today, I am looking forward to getting to spend time with my extended family over Christmas. I didn’t get to see anyone of thanksgiving, so this will be the first time since I left for school.

So many things made me laugh today. A text from my best friend, random stories, but most of the time my friend Kaity is the cause of laughter. It seems every couple minutes she says something that makes me fall over laughing.

So yep. That’s all for now. Time to get some serious shut eye.
